Hiteon's 9 days of snow has impacted our community, teaching and learning. The unpredictable snow days created some gaps in teaching opportunities but also gave students the opportunity to take action. Teachers are working hard to review, reflect and move forward with curriculum and PYP units. Students have returned with some wonderful stories of snow fun and action that they took over the breaks. Many students shoveled driveways for their family and neighbors, went with their parents to pick up people who couldn't drive in the snow and went on grocery runs for neighbors. How exciting that they realized that they were caring, empathetic, risk-takers and took action!
